Senior Contemporary/Lyrical Class
Sundays 3.15-4.00pm @ Dance Studio, Performing Arts Block, Shrewsbury College, London Rd.
This class is suitable for both beginners and those with more experience in contemporary dance/lyrical dance.
Teens and young adults work on technique, learning choreography, dancing as a team as well as developing flexibility, strength and performance skills.
Members of this class will be offered the opportunity to take part in competitions, events and showcases. All of our students have the opportunity to take part in our Winter and Summer showcase each year alongside other events.
Students wishing to compete can also try out for our competition lyrical/contemporary team called 'Axis'. The competition team train after the class on Sundays 4.00-5.00pm.
Senior Street Class
Sundays 1.30-2.15pm @ Dance Studio, Performing Arts Block, Shrewsbury College, London Rd.
This team is for Senior dancers who wish to train in hip hop and street dance styles as well as learning foundation knowledge about the style along the way. Students will learn street dance technique as well as develop social skills and performance skills.
Senior students in this team are given the option to compete as well as taking part in events and our Winter & Summer showcase.
Students also have the opportunity to try out for our competition team 'InfraRed Street Crew'. Competition team training is after the Senior street dance class on Sundays 2.15-3.15pm.
